Sometimes enough is never enough, which is when Sweet Surrender comes into play. Oh the folly of being human, so intricately human, so deeply human, so viscerally human. Do you ever wonder why surrender is so essential? Why the Mystics and Saints describe it's bittersweet effects in both ecstatic and painful melodies?
Try it sometime and you will instantly be on a journey of infinite depth. The layers and layers and layers you must dive through in order to achieve this sweet state of bliss are too many to count.....and why count anyway? The freedom that comes along with this sought after experience dismisses the regular human misery of "keeping track of things" and catapults you into "one with all"....and trust me, "one with all" has no need for tallying. It only has need for the heart's growth.
Signs You Have Experienced Surrender
The very state of being human requires daily surrender. Whether we realize it or not, it is as essential as oxygen. We are either being forced into acceptance of a situation or we are choosing to surrender to a situation......IT IS EVERYWHERE!
Those of you who have experienced watching your child in a precious, simple moment, knowing full well that moment is fleeting and your child will never be the same...is growing and you can't do anything about it.....that's surrender.
Those of you who have lost your beloved pet....that's surrender.
Those of you who are caring for a loved one who is passing away....that's surrender.
Those of you who have loved another, but did not receive that love in return....that's surrender.
Those of you who have had to walk away from a person, job, or idea, because no matter how hard you tried to "make it work", it didn't "seem to work"...that's surrender!
Great news! All of us are on The Surrender Train already!!
Now, let's just see if we can work with Divine Wisdom more succinctly, humble ourselves a little more readily, and enjoy this new lightness of being more easily.
Signs You Need to Surrender
Grumpy much? Resistance to caring for yourself? Agitation at the core of your being, but can't figure out why? Happy at home, miserable at work? Miserable at home, happy at work? So many signs! So many signals! Our systems are telling us something. If we answer any of the above questions with a YES, pay attention and dive in to ecstasy.
Feng Shui Tips
1 - Pick an area of your life - health, family, relationship, career, money.
2 - Narrow it down to one challenge - I should be getting a raise but my boss refuses, my child is fighting me on everything, work is intolerable, my spouse is not being fun and romantic, my church group leader drives me nuts, I am uninspired in regards to writing my next novel, I want to spend more time playing music with friends but am not making the time for fun, etc.
3 - Write down the one challenge in a notebook and date it. Everyday for 7 days during Week 1 write this statement down. See what your body is telling you when you write it down, don't struggle with it or try to change it. Week 2 - Everyday for 7 days, write your challenge down and then write "I surrender this challenge to you, God. To Divine Wisdom. To Divine Guidance. To Divine Timing. Please help me with these struggles. Please help me see that you are working actively in my life and teaching me through this process." Feel what your body is telling you, don't try to change it. Week 3 - Everyday for 7 days, write "I release all pain relating to this challenge, I am giving and receiving your love to myself and others, I am open to your Guidance and am honored to be with you." Feel what your body is telling you, don't try to change it. Week 4 - Get creative and do something you feel inspired to do.
Please notice - Feel what your body is telling you...Don't try to change it !!!!!
